this is a 2007 frame, with the 68mm bb, used the bb adapter plate shimmed it to fit and trimmed down chain retainer bolts which are close to frame... but do clear, just! loctite 247 all fitting after final adjusting. basically the 68mm bb was changed with later frames to the 83mm bb which is the only way if im honest.

personal thing i guess.... up shifts to gear, they pump like shit while i just select, suppose it's what works for yah at the end of the day that counts... as long as im down first thats all that matters................................

this Quake frame-set is a 2007 7.2 which at that time had a WTB QR Skewer hub with a wheel spacing of 135mm, the 2008 and on bikes used 12mm through bolt system with a 150mm spacing, so to change mine over to the bigger axle and hub I bought the screw type maxel conversion kit at £90 ish pounds (at that time!). tried hard to get a second hand one but ended up no where with that.... maxel's good or bad depends who u talk to, at the end of the day 12x150mm bolt through is the way to go for the bigger hits........................
